Laura Sawyer

Laura is a born and raised Carolina girl who spent the majority of her grown years in Nashville, TN, before relocating back to the Carolinas in the summer of 2021.

Before moving to Nashville, she spent 3 years working at the beautiful Duke Mansion in Charlotte, NC, specializing in Corporate Meetings and Events. In 2014, she took a giant leap of faith and moved to Music City to work for Marriott at Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center.

After 2 years and 1 promotion at Opryland, she moved on to Omni Nashville in the heart of downtown where she spent 5 years as a Convention Services Manager and the Assistant Director of Convention Services. Together with her Director, she led a team of 14 managers and associates, managed (and always exceeded) a big ol’ food and beverage goal, and orchestrated the complete controlled chaos that comes with working in Convention Services in Cvent’s 2x #1 Meetings Hotel.

At Sawyer Creative Co., Laura is {detail obsessed} event planning expert!

Daniel Sawyer

Daniel grew up on 13 beautiful acres in a small town just outside of Nashville. He started his first job at 15 years old and has grown an incredible work ethic over the years.

After graduating from the University of Tennessee, Daniel began his career at Gaylord Opryland in 2012 as a Conference Setup Attendant. A few years and several promotions later, he excelled in his role as Senior Manager of Event Services, overseeing the logistics of the 600,000 square feet Convention Center at Opryland.

Daniel joined Laura at Omni Nashville in 2018 and took an opportunity to move into the Rooms Division as Assistant Director of Housekeeping. He was later promoted to Manager of Laundry Services where his team washed every piece of linen for 800 guest rooms, 3 restaurants, & 80,000 square feet of event space. During his last year with Omni, he wore many hats as one of the only Rooms Division leaders in the building throughout the pandemic. Daniel’s dedication to everything he does, his operations experience, and the way he leads people are such an asset to our team.

At Sawyer Creative Co., you can find Daniel one of two places: on-site operating & executing events all over the country, or in our shop running the creative side of our business.
